The Stroud & Swindon Building Society has seen many acquisitions of other societies over the years to form what it has become today – This list includes the Bristol Permanent Building Society and the Frome & Selwood Building Society. More recently, a merger with the Swindon Permanent Building Society in 1986 completed the transition to form what we know today.
